Penny is an Italian greyhound who came to us at around 8 years old. Florence took her in from a man who said Penny had been left in a cage outside his house, but when we took her to the vet, the employees at the vet's office recognized her and said that she had belonged to the man's girlfriend.
Penny had lived in at least 5 different homes before finding a permanent home at Journey's End. In her past life, she had broken her leg twice because she is aggressive with larger dogs and was injured by them.
Penny lives with the other small dogs in the PeeWee room. She is friendly and easy-going with people, although she can be a little skittish. She likes lap time, but she wants to jump up on her own...she will sometimes bite if someone tries to pick her up. She has a lot of energy, and loves playing with the other small dogs.
