In Memory Of

Mystery

May, 2015

Mystery was probably the first animal to decide on her own to move into Journey's End. She was a beautiful medium-hair cat who looked a lot like River, and at first we thought she WAS River, until one day someone noticed that River was outside at the same time that Mystery was inside.

We have no idea where she came from...she must have been a stray who walked in when someone opened the door. She seemed perfectly happy here and made no effort to return to wherever she came from.

Mystery was very sweet and friendly, and often hung out in the parking lot or by the table under the oak tree. She loved lap time and grooming. She lived to be very old and was healthy until the end, other than becoming very thin due to declining kidney function. She passed suddenly away one day.
