Jawless Jerry is a middle-aged chihuahua mix whose lower jaw was broken when he was hit by a car in Miami. The girl who rescued him gave him to her father, who is a vet in Tampa. The vet kept him for 13 months, but for some reason never amputated the jaw or neutered him. His jaw was just hanging loose when he came to Journey's End, so it was amputated for his own comfort.
Jawless Jerry has done very well without his lower jaw, and he can eat without assistance. His vision is mostly gone, but he must be able to see a little because he runs around without bumping into things.
Jawless Jerry is a sweet, energetic little guy who lives with the other small dogs in the PeeWee room. He is very friendly with people and with the other dogs, and he loves lap time.
